Tax deductible
Want to join us in making a difference? We are raising money to benefit the Good Dads Act Committee, a standing committee of the New Biscayne Gardens Chamber of Commerce Inc, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us. Funds will be utilized to produce learning material and to educate elected officials and practitioners throughout the United States to pass similar legislation to bring families together.

To ensure that children have the right to be raised by both parents, Florida needs to change its law to ensure that the rights of biological fathers are protected and enforced. This law will ensure an unwed man who steps up after his child’s birth will have equal rights as the mother. The Unwed Father for the child out of wedlock has to complete and sign or notarize a voluntary acknowledgment of paternity form constituting an establishment of paternity. This law will result in a shared parental responsibility between both parties. The father does not have to file paternity documents in court to establish parental rights. Thousands of men have faced and currently are entangled with this issue throughout the State of Florida. Dr. Bernard Wh Jennings, a father who is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator faced this same situation and turned his pain into a solution for all fathers. He drafted a proposal that addressed the issue to the Florida Legislature during the 2023 Legislative Session. His proposal was accepted and District #107 -Representative Christopher Benjamin, Esq (D) introduced Bill #775 to the Florida Legislature and said, “This House Bill (Good Dad Act) will support the concept of family by putting unwed men on an equal footing with mothers when it comes to parenting their children”., “Fathers will no longer be helpless and feel emasculated and robbed of their fatherhood.”, “Fathers will now have a seamless opportunity to take full responsibility of caring and providing for their children supported by laws.”. On the Senate side, Senate Bill #1146 was Sponsored by Senator Clay Yarborough and has since been coined Ethan's "Good Dad Act". Ethan is 8 years old and is the son of Dr. Bernard Wh Jennings.

Just like many good laws on the books. It will not be helpful if the public is not aware of its existence. This GoFundme is set up to raise revenue to create educational material to inform; the general general public, lawyers, Judges, law enforcement, counselors, mediators, guardians at Litems and other persons throughout the State of Florida. We will further initiate efforts to get similar legislation passed in every state of this country so that children can finally have the love and support of their natural fathers. Funds will be utilized to produce learning material and to educate elected officials and practitioners throughout the United States to pass similar legislation to bring families together. Please consider giving today. No amount is too small or large!
