Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out for help with my 7-month-old kitten, Gooby. He was rescued from the street when he was just a few weeks old, and he has brought so much joy into my family’s life. He is the most playful, strong little guy who absolutely loves to eat, but he is facing a worrying medical issue.
At a recent vet visit, X-rays showed that Gooby has an enlarged heart and some inflammation in his lungs. Because he is still so young, the vet believes the enlargement is a congenital condition (something he was born with). This condition can become very serious very quickly, but an echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) is the only way to accurately diagnose a congenital heart condition so we can start the correct treatment plan. Without it, his condition could quickly progress into heart and lung failure.
I want to give Gooby every chance at a long, happy life, but the sudden cost of specialty veterinary care has overwhelmed my finances. I don’t have the official statements yet, but the vet estimates the echocardiogram and subsequent fees will cost between $700-$900.
I am keeping my family's names private to focus entirely on his care, but 100% of these funds will go directly to Gooby's veterinary bills. Any amount you can give, no matter how small, would be so so appreciated. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing his link with other animal lovers.
Thank you so much for reading Gooby's story and keeping him in your thoughts.
