On Wednesday, November 12, tragedy struck the Gonzalez family. A devastating fire swept through their barn. The family immediately rushed into action to save their horses - many escaped, thanks to their heroic efforts, but Anthony's beloved horse was lost.
Two of the horses, a mare and her foal, escaped the fire but have multiple burns. They are being treated and monitored daily. The vet bills alone will be astronomical.
I know that this is a difficult time for all of us financially, but please, if you can, help this family get through the winter until they can rebuild.
All funds will go directly to the Gonzalez family farm to be used for feed, stalls, vet bills and rebuilding the barn as soon as the family is able to do so.
Thank you to the amazing community and all who have contributed so far. We've increased our goal in the hopes that funds can help get the rebuild.
If anyone is interested in donating services or large items, we will need several dumpsters. Lumber donations would also be greatly appreciated.
