I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Gomaa, Mervat, and Nour—a selfless, kind, and dedicated family I’ve had the honor of knowing.

On the morning of Sunday, December 1st, 2024, Gomaa Shehata suffered a sudden and unexpected heart attack that caused his heart to stop for over 45 minutes. Despite the tireless efforts of family members and emergency personnel performing CPR, Gomaa remains in a coma as of December 1st.

After 20 days at Good Samaritan Hospital, Gomaa was transferred to a local nursing home to continue his care. He currently relies on a PEG tube for nutrition and a tracheostomy tube for respiration. Although he has recently been weaned from daytime supplemental oxygen, he still requires oxygen support overnight.

As the primary source of income for his family, Gomaa’s absence has placed a heavy financial burden on his wife, Mervat, and their daughter, Nour. We are reaching out to ask for your support in helping cover everyday expenses during this incredibly difficult time.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and provide much-needed relief for this family as they navigate this life-altering emergency.
