In Loving Memory of Glynis Nesbitt Washington
It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of Glynis Niecy Nesbitt Washington, who tragically succumbed to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Friday, April 18, 2025. Glynis was a beacon of love, strength, and resilience — a woman whose life was defined by service, education, and above all, family.
Glynis was a devoted mother to two incredible sons and a doting grandmother to her cherished grandson. Her love for them was boundless and unwavering — they were the center of her universe, and everything she did was with their well-being in mind.
A proud and active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Glynis carried her sisterhood with pride and purpose. She was deeply involved in her community, generously giving her time and energy to uplift others. Whether attending services at Life Center Ministries, lending a hand at the Knights of Arabia lodge, or simply being there for her “clear family” and friends, Glynis made a lasting impact everywhere she went.
Professionally, she was a dedicated paralegal, a champion for justice and truth. Passionate about education, Glynis held not one, but two master’s degrees — a true testament to her relentless pursuit of knowledge. She never stopped learning and encouraging others to reach for their dreams.
Glynis was a woman of joy. She adored Mickey Mouse, loved to travel, and brought light and laughter to every room she entered.
As her family mourns this devastating loss, we are asking for support to help cover funeral expenses and to support her two sons as they navigate this unimaginable time and carry on her legacy. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward honoring Glynis's memory and helping her family heal.
Please consider donating, sharing this page, and keeping Glynis’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
With deepest gratitude,
