Gloucester, MA Restaurant Staff Relief Fund

As we all come to terms with the health crisis here in Gloucester our restaurant and bar workers are staring down the possibility of an economic disaster.
These are the folks that greet you with a smile when you walk in the door, listen intently to your sometimes overly complicated order while you decide what to eat, serve you an ice cold beer across the bar or excitedly work to prepare your food in the back.
Workers have the ability to apply for unemployment and possibly benefit from the new stimulus package, but in a lot of cases it’s just not enough.
We have started a fund to support workers who’s jobs have been put on hold.
In order to distribute the funds, we have created a short survey through survey monkey that will help us prioritize those in our community that are most at-risk and in need. The support is given on a first come first serve basis. All information shared remains confidential. Our aim is to provide as many people as much support as possible. The amount of people we are able to help is based on the amount of funds we raise, please help us spread the word!
Update: Do to the overwhelming need for help, we have partnered with the Cape Ann Emergency Relief Fund. We have over 100 applicants and unfortunately we only have the funds to support a portion of that number. We will continue to help as much as we can.
