I never thought I would have to write something like this, but my heart is heavy as I share the devastating news—my hair shop, the business I poured my heart and soul into, has been completely destroyed by a fire. Everything is gone. The chairs, the clippers, the razors, the scissors—tools that weren’t just objects but an extension of my craft and passion. Years of hard work reduced to ashes in a matter of moments.

This shop was more than just a place for haircuts. It was a home, a safe space where people gathered not just for a fresh cut but for advice, laughter, and support. I’ve always made it my mission to give back to the community—offering free cuts to those in need, mentoring young barbers, and creating a space where everyone felt welcomed and valued. Now, I find myself in a position I never imagined—needing help from the same community I’ve worked so hard to uplift.

The fire didn’t just take my livelihood; it also impacted my employees, who lost their tools and source of income overnight. My son, who worked beside me and had his own station in the shop, lost everything as well, including all of his tools and equipment. It breaks my heart to see everything we built together disappear before our eyes, and I’m left with the overwhelming reality of having to start from scratch.
