Hi my name is Gloria Chinenyenwa Nnam, and I am the executive producer and writer of A Dash Of Love, A Dash of love was actually born from true life events. A short film that is slated to be shot in Los Angeles California, exactly 4 weeks from today. Right in the heart of Hollywood we have created a highly evocative and inspiring story and I couldn’t be more happy for the opportunity to tell such a beautiful story and share it with the rest of the world.. I am a Masters of fine arts student and I am currently in my 5th and final semester. A Dash of Love is actually a thesis project that is highly pivotal to the actualization of my academic pursuits.
The story starts off with Zoe in the kitchen with Zoe trying to whip up her Sister’s favorite meal, jollof rice. Jollof rice is a staple Nigerian dish and she was in the kitchen trying to make this make happen. The kitchen is not her turf, she lacks expertise or experience in there but she had to do what mattered and there was an allotted window for her sister to stop eating pre surgery and she was racing against time. The most beautiful about a dash of of love is that it is beyond just a student’s project, I consider this a privilege to share my love and my passion for the craft while concurrently telling a story about sisterhood, friend and in deed life or death. Inspired by true life events that happened last year during my 3rd semester when my sister got critically ill and required surgery. We were dealing with a plethora of emotions. We were confronted with difficult questions about the possible outcome of the surgery I had this crippling anxiety but I knew that just had to be there for my sister and so I came up with the grand idea to fly into Houston Texas on the eve of her surgery to surprise her. My goal was to have her , her mind, as perky as possible and as affirmed as possible right before surgery, I wanted her to go into this surgery happy. So inspite of my fears,I had to bring love hope, in spite of all my struggles, my flaws, my imperfections, I had to set that aside and focus on what really mattered and it was love and that is what the story is about.
All is well that ends well and this story ends so beautifully well when Zoe is able to overcome all her obstacles and achieve all her objectives, she makes it in record time to be with her sister pre surgery, providing all the love and support that her sister needs.
I love this story, it is so dear to my heart it is highly evocative and indeed I cannot wait to share it with the world. But that’s not going to be possible if I don’t raise the required funds to bring it to fruition. A dash of love has been able to raise some capital but at this point we need some additional $7,000 that would go towards equipment rentals, production design, location fees, and feeding the cast and crew while on set
Time is of the essence as we begin to shoot on the 17th of March, 2025. And I would love for you to make quick consideration for A Dash of Love, this beloved project. I hope my story has inspired you and I hope you honor my invitation to be a part of my journey, my self actualization, and a a part of a beautiful story coming to life. Thank you very much for your time. Thank you.
