On Thursday, February 26th, Gloria Mendoza was involved in a serious car accident with her husband and their children, Alexander and Evelyn.

Gloria has been a constant, friendly face in our office for 17 years. Although she works for a partner company, she has been a big part of our team. Many of us remember her dedication during COVID, when she worked tirelessly to keep our workspace clean and sanitized so we could continue our jobs. After so many years of her looking out for us, we want to do the same for her and her family during this difficult time.

The aftermath of the accident has been physically and emotionally exhausting. Gloria suffered a broken pelvis, and from what we understand, her husband broke his legs. Alexander was rushed to the ICU at Inova with a brain bleed and a broken jaw and Evelyn was treated for internal bleeding and two broken hips at Suburban Hospital. In our first conversation after the accident, Gloria didn't even mention her own injuries. Through her tears, she only shared her heartbreak that her children were hurt and being treated at separate hospitals.

Alexander will have surgery on his broken jaw on Saturday, March 7th. Gloria has been able to see Alexander and she has been able to FaceTime with Evelyn. Thankfully, Gloria's husband and Evelyn have been released to the care of family.

We are raising funds to help Gloria and her family cover expenses so they can focus on healing. Any contribution is deeply appreciated and will go directly to Gloria and her children.
