For family and friends who don't know yet:

Mom (Gloria "Jean" Matthews) succumbed to the effects of septic shock and has entered into palliative care at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She is non-coherent and only intermittently aware of visitors; most of the time, she's non-responsive and/or non-aware. Measures have been employed to keep her comfortable while her life on this earth is nearing its close.

Per her explicit request, there will be no funeral arrangements.

She didn't have any insurance and was on limited income up until she was admitted into Barren Co Nursing Rehab. Although there will be no funeral, we still have to arrange the final expenses (cremation, urn, legal documents).
