Hi, my name is Anne Durant and I’m raising funds on behalf of my sister-in-law, Gloria Durant.
Gloria and her husband (Dale) have been missionaries to China for over 30 years. They have poured their lives into sharing the gospel in a very spiritually dark place amid persecution and extreme resistance. Yet their love for the people of China and the joy of seeing them grab hold of the spirit of faith has made it all worthwhile.
Three weeks ago, Gloria was on her way to the hospital for a routine checkup when suddenly she felt faint. By the strength of God, she was able to walk over to the ER and upon having a preliminary EKG test, they told her she was having a heart attack. After admission to the hospital, they found that all three of her arteries were blocked 90, 70, and 50 percent respectively. She was immediately taken into surgery for a double stent angioplasty in the artery that was clogged at 90 percent. While Hong Kong has socialized healthcare and covers almost all costs for healthcare and emergencies, there are some procedures that are not covered, such as the angioplasty when it is not an emergency case. The doctors have told Gloria she needs another angioplasty in the artery blocked at 70 percent. Since they don't consider it an emergency, they have put her on a waiting list for next month but require her to pay $10,000 USD.
We’re believing for a miracle and trusting in a healing God. If you are able to donate any amount, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you're not able to donate right now, we appreciate your prayers of faith and ask that you would share Gloria's story on your social media accounts. Every prayer, share, and donation means more than we can express.
