My name is Jamie Humphris, one of the ones living in the 4900 block of Glenwood Avenue who has nothing left to go back to.

I wanted to come on here and let the people who were in it tell their story and relay what they need.

Starting with my story—I was woken up at 1am to someone pounding on my door screaming “FIRE” (whoever you are, I am deeply indebted to you). I jumped out of bed to look at the peephole and all I could see were flames. I managed to get my cat into a crate and helped rescue some other animals while we all scrambled (in shock and in the cold) to get what we needed in the moment. We hauled the animals into the cars we could get into to keep them safe. There was a baby girl with her mothers who my heart breaks for. I hope you, your baby, and your pets are okay.

This is for ANYONE who has lost their home and their safety. Sending all my love.
