Support Glenn’s Reopening Black Owned Business

Hello Everyone,
We have been getting a lot of messages inquiring into if we are open, or if we are a black owned business. Yes, we are a black owned family business since 1971. Nearly 50 years! Yes, we are the only black owned business in the city of Detroit currently with a packaged liquor license- meaning yes you can buy liquor from us, Glenn’s is a liquor store. No we are currently not opened. Due to the pandemic and very poor support from our community we were forced to close during Covid- 19 and we are struggling to re open. We have been chasing many of the loan avenues that the Federal Government claims are available for Small Businesses but as you have probably seen in the news, these opportunities are not always available or easily obtainable. Because of all the messages, inquiries, and positive vibes we have received, we are more determined than ever to reopen and continue to support our community. We are asking if you are willing on this 7/7 blackout date, to sew a seed towards our reopening. We would love to continue to support our community as we have done for the last 50 years, but we can only be as successful as our community allows us to be. Thank you for your support!
