If you have been in the library, at Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) in Prestonsburg, Kentucky in the past 15 years, chances are Glenna Woods assisted you. A lifelong resident of Allen, Glenna is a kind and caring lady who goes out of her way to help others; now she needs our help. During the devastating flooding in Eastern Kentucky, the first floor of Glenna’s home was flooded five to six feet deep. As the flood water rose higher, she made it to the second floor, where she waited all night long, with no electricity or heat, for the water to recede slowly. Co-workers, past and present students, and new and old friends are working tirelessly to clean, muck out her house, and assist her with her immediate needs. Glenna has no flood insurance, and even if she can get FEMA assistance, it is unknown how much or when she will receive it. Home repairs are expensive; imagine how much it will cost to completely renovate her home to make it livable, because that is what it needs to make it safe for her. Please consider donating to this GoFundMe account to help Glenna. Even if you can’t donate, please keep her in your prayers and share this post. Thank you.
