After a lengthy battle with an abusive roommate, my landlord has decided that he is going to illegally evict me as well via throwing all of mine and my mother's belongings out. He wants to renovate the apartment. The day after Christmas, a large portion of my bedroom ceiling fell in unexpectedly due a water leak stemming from the floor above me's radiator, which they did not report to the landlord, and was thus left to leak through the floor until it eventually caused my ceiling to collapse.

Though my landlord has never served me an official eviction notice, he is demanding I leave ASAP due to the renovations needed, or else he will remove all of my property from the apartment. My mother and I are both struggling to come up with the funds to cover the costs of moving so suddenly. I am starting a new job on the 15th, but my mother and I need help to move out urgently to avoid ending up in a shelter after my landlord throws us out, as we have nobody else we can turn to. There are legal actions against the landlord we could take, but that takes time we don't have, as my landlord is planning to move our belongings out as soon as he can. For a new apartment, we need first month's rent (approx 1,900) + security (1 month's rent, approx 1,900) total approx. $3,800 + moving costs, which are looking to be around $1,000, totaling to $4,800, leaving $200 for any additional variances in cost.

Any help is appreciated, as this is an urgent situation!
