Organized by Kelley Knight and Shannon Lawrence

Glenn, our brother, was diagnosed with Stage 4, terminal, Esophageal and Stomach Cancer, after experiencing severe gastric pain and dramatic weight loss. His diagnosis has led to an intense and ongoing treatment plan. Every two weeks, Glenn undergoes approximately six hours of care that includes three chemotherapy drugs and immunotherapy. These treatments are physically and mentally draining, often leaving him unable to function normally for several days afterwards. As a result of the cancer, Glenn is no longer able to eat or drink by mouth and now relies on a feeding tube for 16 hours daily to receive the nutrition his body needs.

The diagnosis has brought not only an immense physical and emotional burden, but also a significant financial burden. The cost of medical care, combined with the loss of regular income, has made it increasingly difficult to keep up with both treatment-related expenses and everyday living costs. Donations will go directly toward covering medical expenses not fully paid by insurance, supporting Glenn's ongoing treatments, and helping with essential day-to-day living needs during this incredibly difficult time.

Glenn Lawrence was born and raised in Southern Maryland, where his roots run deep. He takes great pride in his heritage—his ancestors were among the first Catholics to land at St. Clements Island in historic St. Mary's County, helping shape the rich history of the region, which he still calls home. Glenn's life reflects hard work, resilience, and the courage to evolve. He began his career as a trash collector in his early adulthood, dedicating over 20 years to the job. In his mid-30s, he made a bold and inspiring career change, transitioning into the IT field. For more than two decades, Glenn has proudly supported both the Army and Navy as a civilian contractor, contributing his skills to those who serve our country.

For 17 years, Glenn has been a devoted husband to his loving wife, Ursula. Together, they share a passion for travel, photography, and adventure, creating lasting memories wherever life takes them. Glenn is also known for his strong family and friend bonds. He has maintained a close-knit circle of friends and family since his early teens and is often the one who keeps everyone connected—checking in, bringing people together, and making sure those bonds never fade. Glenn's story is one of dedication, love, and quiet strength—someone who has always shown up for others and continues to do so every day.

We are asking for your support to help Glenn as he navigates this challenging journey. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and is deeply appreciated. Please consider sharing this fundraiser with others who may want to help.
