Hi, my name is Gladis. On July 11, I will undergo major abdominal surgery to treat advanced endometriosis that has affected multiple organs, including my bowel. I’ll be on my own during the recovery and unable to work or cook. I’m reaching out for help to cover basic living costs food, ostomy supplies, rent, and medication, so I can heal safely and with dignity. Any amount helps more than you can imagine.

I’ve been living with the pain of endometriosis since I was a teenager. For years, I thought it was just part of being a woman, until the pain became so severe it began affecting my daily life, my ability to eat, walk, and even my digestive function.

After many doctor visits, scans, and referrals, I was finally diagnosed with deep infiltrating endometriosis that has spread to my bowel, bladder, and reproductive organs. This condition has left me in daily pain and caused serious digestive issues, including rectal bleeding and severe constipation, urinary incontinence due to the adhesions on my bladder and a blocked ureter.

On July 11, I’m scheduled for a complex laparoscopic surgery that includes the removal of endometriotic tissue and a bowel resection. It’s a major procedure with a long, slow recovery. I’ll be unable to work, lift anything, or even prepare food for several weeks. I live alone, and unfortunately, I don’t have family nearby to help me during this time.

That’s why I’m asking for help.

I’m raising $3,500 to cover:

• Groceries (healing meals I won’t be able to cook myself)

• Medications for inflammation and gut healing

• Transportation to and from follow-up appointments

• Basic expenses like hygiene supplies, wound care, ostomy supplies, and bills during recovery

I’m a full-time student in the middle of building a better future. I’ve worked hard to get to this point in my healing journey. Now, I just need a little help to get through this critical moment.
