We’re Gizzae — a Chicago reggae band with over 35 years of bringing good vibes, genre-bending jams, and electrifying live shows to the stage. Our sound blends reggae, calypso, jazz, blues, and rock, and we’ve built a loyal community through decades of unforgettable performances and musical passion.
The other night, our trailer — packed with all of our essential gear — was stolen in broad daylight. Someone hitched it to their truck and drove off with nearly everything we need to perform, including:
-Microphones
-Instruments
-Speakers & amps
-Mixing board
-Wires, cables, and our full sound system
We’re working with the police, but we don’t know if it will be recovered. Without our instruments or a trailer, we’re unable to play the summer shows we’ve already booked or transport our equipment.
We’re raising funds to replace the stolen equipment and trailer so Gizzae can keep the music going. Your support will go directly toward helping us stay on stage and continue doing what we love — sharing music with our community.
