Hello this is hard for me to do and ask but my cat gizmo is having an medical emergency and I don't have the funds to help him more. I have already spent $500 on a X-ray and meds but they still don't have a clear answer and he hasn't seen many improvements. Tuesday night we noticed he had an accident on the floor, unlike him, and he was breathing hard in the corner of the bedroom. We brought him in Wednesday after he did not get any better over the night and stopped eating food. We got an X-ray of his chest and there is liquid around his lungs and heart. I want to be able to do more for him wether that's trying to get surgery to remove the liquid or unfortunately put him down. Me and my girlfriend can not watch him suffer anymore. We live in Minnesota and have had no luck with lowcost/free vets so this was my last resort. Please if you could help in anyway I would be more than grateful. Update 03/05/26 he has been confirmed to have heart failure, we are doing what we can and he is on lasix and on watch untill 5pm. If he doesn't start improving or eating tonight we may have to put him down in the morning, I don't want him to suffer or starve. Current bill is $1200 with $600 paid off at the moment.
