Support Gizmo's Road to Recovery

Gizmo is a street cat, who was hit by a car and spent 24 hours sitting outside a shop in Abu Dhabi before finally being rescued.

He was admitted to BVC clinic in a critical condition. The staff managed to stabilise him and stop the swelling in his brain. He was placed in an oxygen chamber to help with his breathing:

After a few days, when Gizmo was a little stronger, he was anaesthetised. X-rays showed 2 breaks in his jaw but no other fractures and no collapsed lungs. The surgeon fixed one of the breaks in his jaw, put his eye back in (with the hopes of saving it), fixed some other damage inside his mouth and placed a feeding tube so that Gizmo could be fed without needing to use his jaw. Gizmo was then given time to get stronger before a second surgery was done today. Unfortunately, his eye couldn't be saved so it was removed and, at the same time, the second break in his jaw was fixed so that Gizmo's mouth can close again. Gizmo is now recovering from this second surgery.

I am including (1) the open invoice from prior to Gizmo's second surgery and (2) the quote we had for Gizmo's second surgery, which happened today.

Gizmo will need to stay at the clinic until he can eat independently (and the feeding tube can be removed) so we anticipate that the bill will be higher still. Once fully recovered, we will get Gizmo ready for adoption and search for a forever home for him.

We are asking for help with Gizmo's bill due to the amounts involved. The people involved with Gizmo's case are individual rescuers using their own time and money to rescue street cats in Abu Dhabi.
