Angel trees/giving trees are programs where children of super low income families get to write down their Christmas wishes on little paper tags that go on a Christmas tree like ornaments. The trees are usually in public locations like Walmart and churches. People can go pick out tags from the tree and buy the items from the wishlists, and the organizer will deliver the items to the specific kid from each tag. Some animal shelters run similar programs for pets in the shelter and for general shelter needs.

Super late notice but going to try and clear out as many tags as possible on local giving trees or animal shelter giving trees/wish lists this weekend!! I am hoping to sponsor at least 5 kids. Any donation is appreciated! Also lmk if you want to come with me if you’re free this weekend, not sure if I will go on sat or sun. Also feel free to comment if you want your $$ to go to human or animal.

If i run out of time and there are still remaining funds, or if there are donations after this weekend, anything left will go online to Salvation Army (human) and SFSPCA (animal).
