Help Giulietta Beat Cancer!

Our family needs your support! On December 12th, 2025, my wife Giulietta - a devoted therapist who has spent years helping others through their most challenging moments - received a breast cancer diagnosis that turned everything upside down.

What we thought was mild inflammation turned out to be a form of invasive breast cancer (triple-positive IDC+DCIS with likely IBC) that has a high risk of spreading throughout the body if not treated immediately.

We are very lucky in that her cancer hasn't metastasized beyond the lymph nodes. In other words, her doctors are treating to cure her cancer. What this means is ~6 months of aggressive chemotherapy, followed by surgery, then assessment of next steps depending on the findings.

Right now, we are focused on these critical first 6 months of treatment, creating an environment where Giulietta can feel calm, secure, and able to focus solely on her healing.

About Giulietta

For those who don't know her well, Giulietta is the kind of person that everyone can call on when they need support. She has built her therapy practice on compassion and healing, and now she needs that energy returned to her. Her doctors are optimistic about her prognosis with aggressive treatment, but the road ahead will be long and difficult.

Our Challenges

There are a number of factors adding to the stress of our family situation. As a private practice therapist, Giulietta has no form of paid leave. When she can't see clients, her income stops.

At the same time, my 1099 contractor positions are no longer available, ultimately leading me to begin my professional transition into the healthcare field, pursuing a Radiology program that cannot be paused without restarting the entire curriculum later.

Additionally, we have our 3-year-old daughter Lyla, who needs care and stability - and her mom to focus on getting well.

What We Need

We're asking for help to cover these 6 months of essential expenses -- approx. $35,000 -- while Giulietta undergoes treatment.

Mortgage and utilities: $13,000

Insurance and medical costs: $14,000

Childcare: $3,500

Basic living expenses: $4,500

This will allow Giulietta to focus entirely on healing without the stress of financial hardship, and enable me to continue my program so that I can provide stable support for our family long-term.
