My niece Giselle is only 21 years old. She has been diagnosed with an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) in her brain, along with an aneurysm. This means there is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels that can disrupt normal blood flow and poses a serious risk to her health.
Next month, Gisselle will undergo a major surgery in San Francisco to treat the AVM and aneurysm. While this procedure is necessary and gives her the best chance at a healthy future, it is complex and comes with a long road to recovery. Doctors have told us she may need months to heal, with ongoing care, monitoring, and support.
As you can imagine, this has placed an emotional and financial strain on our family. We are raising funds to help cover:
* Medical and hospital expenses
* Travel and lodging for treatment
* Time away from work to care for her
* Rehabilitation and recovery needs
* Car payment, insurance, basic living expenses
Gisselle was working hard toward her dream of becoming a nurse while balancing school and a part time job as a teacher’s aid for special needs children, she is compassionate and full of joy. She is strong, but she shouldn’t have to face this alone.
We are asking for your support—whether that’s a donation or simply sharing this page. Every bit helps us focus on what matters most: helping Gisselle get through surgery and back to the life she loves.
Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers during this critical time.
