Hi everyone, my name is Giselle Dougan, and I’m reaching out for support as I prepare for my brain surgery to treat my Chiari Malformation. In this condition, brain tissue extends into the spinal canal, causing debilitating symptoms.

For several years, I’ve battled chronic pain, passing out, repeated sickness, and nerve issues. My condition has worsened, and now surgery is the only option to regain my quality of life.

I’m scheduled for March 28th. While I’m hopeful about the road ahead, the reality is that medical expenses, post-op care, and months of recovery mean I can't work during this time.
