On the evening of May 29, 2026, what began as a normal night of kids being kids turned into every parent's worst nightmare.
12-year-old Gisella was seriously injured after being struck by a car while riding an electric scooter with her friend in Rohnert Park. Instead of stopping to help, the driver fled the scene, leaving Gisella and her family facing an unimaginable tragedy.
Thankfully, compassionate Good Samaritans who witnessed the incident immediately stopped to render aid & call emergency services. Their quick actions helped ensure Gisella & her friend received the urgent medical attention they desperately needed.
Due to the severity of her injuries, Gisella was transferred to Oakland Children's Hospital, where she is receiving specialized medical care. Her family has remained by her side every step of the way, focusing all their energy on her recovery.
As they navigate this heartbreaking situation, they are also facing the challenges of traveling back and forth from Rohnert Park to Oakland while also caring for their other three children. The emotional toll is overwhelming, and the unexpected expenses continue to add up.
We are asking our community, friends, family, and anyone moved by Gisella's story to come together and support this family during one of the most difficult times of their lives. Donations will help cover transportation costs, meals, lost income from time away from work, and other expenses that arise while Gisella receives the care she needs.
Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Gisella and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
The Rohnert Park community has always come together in times of need. Let's rally around Gisella and her family and remind them that they are not facing this journey alone.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
