Support Gisele's Fight Against Cancer

Hi everyone, my name is Jena Casman and my mom, Gisele Chona, was recently found to have cancer—multiple tumors in her brain, lungs, and abdomen.

On April 27, 2025, we took our mom to the emergency department because she wasn’t acting like herself. She seemed confused, disoriented, and just not right. We were concerned, but nothing could have prepared us for the devastating news that followed.

Providers discovered multiple tumors in her brain. Further imaging revealed a large mass in her lung with several suspicious areas throughout and another suspicious area in her abdomen—all likely cancerous. Right now, doctors strongly suspect Stage IV Lung Cancer that has metastasized to her brain. We are still waiting on final pathology, but she will need ongoing treatment to address the cancer throughout her body.

She has already undergone brain surgery to remove one of the tumors, but several remain in her brain and body. Her fight is just beginning.

She remains in the hospital and will require intensive rehabilitation to relearn how to walk and recover cognitive abilities lost in hopes to again be independent.

Our mom is a single mother of three children, the youngest two being 18 and 16. She has always worked hard to support us as a realtor, but she’s now unable to work and medical expenses and the cost of daily life are quickly becoming overwhelming.

We’re raising funds to help cover:

Hospital and ongoing treatment expenses

Rehabilitation and recovery care

Living costs while she cannot work

Support for her two youngest children that still live at home during this incredibly difficult time

Our mom is strong, loving, and has always put her children first. Now it’s our turn to support her.
