As many of you know, Girum has been a dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist in the electrophysiology department for many years. In addition to that, he was also a 3D mapper with Abbott for multiple years. Girum is one of the hardest workers, always the first to volunteer to stay late, and always willing to help a co-worker out. Recently, he was diagnosed with cancer and will be starting treatment in the coming weeks.

As you can imagine, this has been a very frightening and difficult time for Girum and his family, and I know many of you will want to offer your support. One of his biggest concerns is being able to support his family financially while he undergoes treatment. In order to help reduce the financial burden they will face, even a small contribution would be felt. We want to give him and his family the opportunity to focus on his treatment, his health, and quality time together.
