Now in its second year, the GirlTalk Journalism & Art Summer Camp brings together middle school girls from under-resourced communities in Marin County. Founded by Sabine Fuchs and run by high school students at GirlTalk Magazine (a digital feminist magazine), our week-long program equips campers with the skills, confidence, and community to tell their own stories. From June 16–20, 2025, at The Branson School in Ross, CA, campers will: brainstorm & write articles, conduct interviews, learn drafting and revision, create & experiment with painting and collage, and collaborate & publish a full-color magazine they design themselves.
Our all-inclusive tuition covers everything. To keep camp free and vibrant, we need to raise $1,000 total for:
1. Magazine printing (full-color, professional quality)
2. Art supplies (paints, paper, collage materials, zine kits)
3. Healthy snacks to fuel creative minds
4. Camp T-shirts so every camper can proudly wear their achievement
Every dollar helps ensure that talented youth from Marin’s under-resourced neighborhoods gain a powerful creative outlet—building skills, confidence, and lifelong friendships.
Please donate today, and share our campaign with friends and family. Together, we’ll make this second-annual camp an unforgettable experience for the next generation of storytellers!
Thank you for believing in youth voices,
Sabine Fuchs & the GirlTalk Camp Team
