My beloved wife, Goma Dhakal Pokhrel, passed away at the early age of forty-two on Sept 02, 2022, while battling bile duct cancer. A mother of two beautiful children, a dedicated wife, and a loving friend to many, she leaves great memories and a rich legacy of selflessness. Thank you to those who expressed their sympathies to us via different means of communication. We are indebted and grateful to you all for your valuable presence in our lives in these difficult times.

One of Goma’s last wishes was to establish a fund to support girls’ education, particularly for financially challenged families. We plan to begin the journey of support from Tribhuvan Higher Secondary School Kakaura, Bardiya where she completed her High School. Furthermore, it will be expanded to a broader community beyond her high school. We are raising funds to establish scholarship seed money in her memory. The interest accumulated from the seed money will be given to girls in need. A scholarship committee will be formed to decide the recipients.
