In an effort to help reduce poverty and inequity in Cambodia, girls opportunity to education is vital! As a Cambodian-American woman who has been privileged to obtain the educational opportunities in the U.S., I would like to provide the same opportunity to young girls in Cambodia.
For 10 long years, I have gotten to know amazing girls in my mother's village. They are bright, motivated and full of hope! Due to poverty conditions, their family cannot afford to send them to college.
Therefore, for the upcoming academic year, I would like to provide 5 young girls the opportunity to leave their village and attend a university.
Tuition cost in a state-funded university in Cambodia is 500 US Dollars a year. It's my hopes to send 5 young girls to college by providing tuition scholarship for the first 2 years. Please join me in this effort!!! Every dollar counts!!!
