On the night of February 12th, Giovanni suffered a terrible fall, causing him to lose feeling from the chest down.

At the hospital he underwent a serious 6 hour surgery for his neck and spine. Although Giovanni is now able to feel his toes, he his still unable to move his legs.

One of Giovanni's passions is taking miles long hikes throughout nature while documenting his journey. Unfortunately, this serious injury has stopped him from continuing his love for the outdoors.

The road to recovery will be long and challenging. In addition to this challenge, Giovanni's life and the lives of those around him will be greatly impacted; for example, fees from physical therapy, a wheel chair, ramps for his house and other modifications to his new lifestyle.
