For those that don’t know our Gio, I would like to tell you a few things about him. He’s a happy, handsome 4-year-old boy that loves playing baseball. From what I’ve seen, he’s really great at swinging that bat. Though he has many toys from monster trucks, cars, to many figurines, his favorite of all is anything Five Nights of Freddy. He loves eating healthy snacks but will eat a yummy chocolate donut with no hesitation. He has a very close bond with his big sister Nayeli. When they are not together, they miss each other so very much. How his story began though was not an easy one. Our strong boy was born into this world with a cleft lip. His first year was full of appointments and corrective surgery. Though there were so many tears seeing him having to go through all of that, he made it through with the strength and love of his mommy, daddy, little sister and family, but most of all, the mercy and love from our father God. Fast forward to today, a month before this diagnosis, he had constant fevers. Doctors would diagnose him with a common virus. Mom takes him one more time to urgent care on Friday, March 27th then later on that evening has to be admitted into Rady’s Children Hospital. After all the labs and tests, Gio has been diagnosed with Leukemia B Cell All. Today we are asking for our family, friends, and community to rally around Gio, his mom, dad, and sister to help get them through this difficult time. Any size of donation would help the family with bills, travel, anything that Gio would need and any unknown future costs. With the continued tests they are running on Gio, the length of time they will be staying at the hospital continues to grow. Anything you are able to give will be greatly appreciated. If you are able to donate or not, we “Thank You” for reading his story and ask if you would keep him and his family in prayer for a quick recovery, strength, and continued unbreakable faith. Thank you.
