I’m Giovanni Desmond, I’m a freshman at Scituate High School. I want to be a movie director one day and I have been making movies since I was about 6 years old.

This summer I was accepted to attend the New York Film Academy teen summer camp in New York City for three weeks. To raise money for this I have decided to do what I do best, make a movie. The movie is called “I Love Chargolen” and it is a thriller-satire on nationalist propaganda in the media.

There is a trailer attached to this and I will be showing the movie at The Reel Movie Theater in Scituate, Massachusetts on June 19th, 2025 at 4pm. I am asking for a suggested donation of $7.00 per ticket at the door and additional donations are greatly appreciated. In addition, I have started this GoFundMe to hopefully raise enough money to allow me to go to film camp and help me get one step closer to my dream. All proceeds of this campaign and the ticket sales will go to that camp.

Anyone who donates will receive a link to see the film. As a bonus, anyone who donates $100 or more will also receive a producer credit on the film.
