Last Thursday, Ginn was taken to the hospital after having to call 911 at the salon. It was a frightening and uncertain moment, and we didn’t know what was happening. After several days of testing, we received the devastating news that a mass was found in her abdomen and it has been sadly diagnosed as lymphoma cancer.

Ginn is so much more than a talented hair professional. She is a devoted mother to two boys and a doting grandmother to a sweet little girl who absolutely lights up her world. She is also a salon owner, a passionate educator, and someone who has touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and care.

As a self employed hair studio owner, Ginn does not have the safety net of paid sick days. She only earns an income when she is physically behind the chair.

While we are still learning what the road ahead will look like, we do know that it will be long and challenging, and at this time we are not sure what her recovery will look like as it could range anywhere from six months to a year. Right now, her focus needs to be entirely on her health, treatment, and healing without the added stress of financial uncertainty.
