Hello, my name is Ginneh Mouser and the past year has been the hardest in my life. I know the photo is just me and the older two, but don’t forget Chris and Landon.
I lost my job I had for almost 3 years last October when a new company came in. After that, Chris started having multiple visits to the hospital ER with multiple admissions. I started a new job in February and things started looking up. On May 10, Chris had surgery at UPMC in Pittsburgh where he had to have a G tube and ileostomy placed. While I was in the waiting room waiting for news from the doctor, I was told I need to resign from my job right away by HR in order to be able to help him. He was on a full liquid diet for a three-week period after the surgery. We went to UPMC on a Friday for an appointment and Sunday night or early Monday he got up to go to the bathroom and his leg gave out and he fell in a Marinette doll and broke his leg. When we got to the ER we found out that his electrolytes and vitamins and minerals were all out of whack. Thank God it was just a fall and broken leg because it could have been a stroke or heart attack. This required surgery and a stay at rehab. While all this was going on, I had surgery for my Chiari malformation on June 13 which included a craniotomy with shaving of my C1 and duraplasty. I am just now getting back to normal and able to go back to some degree of work.
During this time we have been squeaking by and have kept up on car, water and electricity but our house payment is three months behind and we are at risk for foreclosure. I am scared that we will be experiencing homelessness. Any little bit will help us.
