Our sweet dog, Ginger, is facing a major medical hurdle, and we’re asking for help to get her the care she urgently needs.

We rescued Ginger in 2020, and since that day she has been a constant source of love, comfort, and joy in our lives. In November, we noticed Ginger wasn’t acting like herself, and she experienced an episode of extreme pain when she tried to stand up. We took her in to the vet and were referred to the neurology team at an emergency and speciality vet clinic. Following a MRI, she was diagnosed with two herniated discs in her neck, a serious and painful condition that requires surgery scheduled for January 12. Without this surgery, her pain will continue and her quality of life will be at risk. We unfortunately had to wait until January for the surgery due to reaching the limit of our pet insurance for 2025 from the MRI and other health related expenses Ginger faced in 2025.  

This surgery will use up our entire pet insurance limit for the year, and even with coverage, we will still be left to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket. Because this is happening in the very first month of the year, it also means we will have no remaining insurance coverage for any additional medical needs Ginger may have for the rest of the year, including follow-up care, complications, or any unexpected health issues.

We are hoping to raise funds to help cover Ginger’s surgery, recovery, and the significant financial strain this creates. Every donation, share, and message of support truly makes a difference and helps us give Ginger the care she deserves.
