Hello, my name is Diana, and I am asking for help for my mother, Gina Garcia. In late September 2025, Gina was struck by an intoxicated driver while using a crosswalk in Holland, MI.

She was rushed to the ICU, fighting for her life for over a month, undergoing multiple surgeries. There was a terrifying moment when her heart stopped, and she required an ECMO machine, a form of life support. She survived this obstacle, but the fight is far from over. Now, over two months later, she faces another obstacle. The injuries sustained require critical surgeries, including the amputation of her feet and fingers. She must return to the ICU to endure another traumatic ordeal.

The emotional and financial burden have been unimaginable. The medical costs are overwhelming our family. My retired father lost his caregiver (my mother), and I have been unable to work since flying from San Diego (where I reside) to be by her side.
