Hi everyone,
We never imagined we would be in a position where we needed to ask for help like this, but life has thrown more at our family lately than we can carry alone.
In December, I suffered a heart attack, which led to me losing my job in January. While we were still trying to recover from that setback, we were hit with another difficult reality. My wife, Gina, has been living with a rare condition called Chiari Malformation, where the brain is essentially too large for the skull. It has caused her years of pain, headaches, and a declining quality of life.
After exhausting other options, Gina now has to undergo brain surgery. This surgery is necessary to give her a chance at a better life, but the recovery process will take time. She is expected to miss over a month of work while she heals, which will place a major financial strain on our household.
Between medical bills, daily expenses, and the loss of income during her recovery, we are facing a very difficult stretch. Anyone who knows Gina knows how strong she is and how much she puts into caring for our family despite the pain she deals with every day.
We’re asking for help to get our family through this period while Gina focuses on healing. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward medical costs, household bills, and helping us stay afloat while she recovers.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this with others would mean the world to us as well.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give. It truly means more to us than words can express.
With gratitude,
Brett & Gina
