Gina, my wife, has always been the most giving person I have ever known. In 2022, she suffered a devastating brain bleed that changed our lives forever. Over the months that followed, Gina showed incredible strength and slowly made progress, giving us hope for her recovery. However, on November 7, everything changed again when she was rushed to the hospital. This time, doctors discovered another bleed and diagnosed her with Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy (CAA), a condition related to her first bleed but with no cure. Her neurologist has been doing everything possible with medication to help control it, but we have learned that Gina will face this challenge for the rest of her life. Full-time nursing care is now recommended, and she will be coming home in just a few days. The reality of the situation is overwhelming, especially when it comes to the cost of care and therapy. Nursing home care is simply not an option for us, as it is extremely expensive. Instead, we are committed to providing Gina with the best care possible at home, where she can be surrounded by love and comfort. The funds raised will go directly toward nursing care at home, incontinence care, bathing, any equipment she may need, and ongoing physical and speech therapy. Every dollar will help ensure Gina receives the support she needs to maintain her quality of life. To all who know Gina, you are truly lucky to have her as your friend or relative.
