Support Gina's Fight Against Brain Cancer

It’s hard to find the right words to express just how much our beloved Gina means to us. She is a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend—she is the heart and soul of our family. Gina has always been there for us, offering constant love, laughter, compassion and strength when we needed it most. Now, our Gina and family are facing an unimaginable challenge.

Gina’s life is nothing short of special. She works incredibly hard but still finds time to chase her hobbies. She loves to dance, bake and cook for her family, spend time with her dog and three granddogs, and is a self-proclaimed Swiftie. Gina has a way of connecting with people and always putting the needs of others above her own. She makes friends with just about everyone she meets (even the lady at the post office and her grocery checkout man) and has a joyous spirit that is unmatched. She has raised three beautiful daughters and is the Godmother to two beautiful nieces, always playing such a huge part in all their accomplishments and important moments. Izzy, her niece, is a freshman in college at Hawaii Pacific University. Cloey, her other niece, is a successful career woman and just moved into her very first apartment! Hannah is a sophomore at CU Boulder and Mia is a senior at the University of Oregon. Taylor just got engaged to her fiancé Dillon. Gina has contributed to all their happiness and success in more ways than one.

On the morning of October 27th, Gina suffered an unexpected stroke that left her paralyzed on the left side of her body. As we were still processing the shock of this, we were hit with even more devastating news: Gina has been diagnosed with brain cancer. Her time with us is precious. As a family we are doing everything we can to ensure her remaining days are filled with the love, comfort, and peace she has always given to others. Her life, and ours, will look different forever.

Despite undergoing four brain surgeries and an extensive two-month hospital stay, Gina's faith remains unshaken, and her strength is nothing short of admirable. She continues to inspire us with her humor, resilience and unwavering spirit, even in the face of such overwhelming adversity. Her courage is a testament to the incredible person she is and the powerful impact she has had on all our lives.

This journey has been incredibly painful for all of us. Watching someone who has been the pillar of our family face such an overwhelming struggle is more than we can bear. But we want to give Gina the best care possible, and to do that, we need help. The costs of transportation for medical appointments, home care to assist with her daily needs, and the supplies that will provide her comfort during this time are overwhelming.

We are humbly reaching out to family, friends, and even strangers who may have been touched by Gina’s story, to help us raise funds to ensure she has the care and support she deserves. Every dollar we raise will go directly toward her care, and every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to giving her the comfort and dignity she has always shown us.
