My Aunt Gina Kost traveled to Miami on Wednesday for what was supposed to be a simple medical procedure. After the surgery, she returned to her Airbnb to rest. When my Uncle checked on her shortly after, he found her unresponsive due to previously unknown serious surgery complications. CPR was performed for nearly 20 minutes before she was able to be stabilized and rushed to the hospital.

Gina is currently in a coma and remains in critical condition. While we are praying and holding onto hope, her recovery is uncertain, and doctors have told us that if she does wake up, the road ahead will be long and challenging. Being so far from home has made this situation even more difficult, as her immediate family is hours away and struggling to remain close to her during this emergency.

Gina is a smart, kind, and deeply loving person who has always put her family first. She is a wife, a proud mother to three wonderful children, and a grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren. She has been the primary provider for her family, as my uncle has been unable to work due to past injuries. Gina worked tirelessly to support them and was even recognized last year for her outstanding work at PNC. Her sudden medical emergency has left her family devastated and unsure how to move forward.

We are asking for any support you are able to give to help cover mounting medical expenses, travel and lodging costs so her family can remain by her side, and essential living expenses such as housing, utilities, and basic household needs while Gina is unable to work.
