This GoFundMe is for my mother-in-law, Gina, who is terminally ill. She was diagnosed with stage four sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma in February 2025 and began immunotherapy shortly afterward. Since then, she has been in and out of the hospital due to complications surrounding her cancer, and that has impacted her ability to continue working. The last time she was in the hospital, the doctors informed her the immunotherapy treatments haven't worked, and her cancer has doubled in size. Because of this, they have stopped treating her.

In February, when Gina first found out she has cancer, she believed she had a few years to live and would be able to continue working and save up for the costs associated with treatments. This cancer is so fast-acting, she had to take a leave of absence and is most likely unable to return to work.

Creating a GoFundMe is extremely hard on Gina. She is very independent and has worked hard to provide for herself over the years. Gina has a heart of gold. Through the years, she has been generous and has helped others who needed help. She is the person who will give you the shirt off her back without thinking twice about it. People don't know about all she has done for others because she doesn't talk about it. But now, Gina needs assistance covering her daily living expenses and the mounting costs associated with her care.
