Support Gimena's Educational Journey Overseas

Hi, my name is Gimena. I am a junior in high school. Ever since I was little, when my sister first told me about her time abroad, my dream has been to experience that same opportunity. I have an amazing opportunity to attend a summer program this year in Korea focused on the deep connection between language and culture. This program will allow me to immerse myself in Korean society, improve my language skills, and gain firsthand experience of cultural traditions, history, and daily life. Through this program, I'll participate in language courses, cultural workshops, and excursions that will broaden my understanding of Korea and its people.

However, the cost of tuition for this program and travel adds up quickly. I am asking for your support to help make this journey possible. Any contribution will bring me closer to this life-changing experience. The tuition costs about $7,000 and flights go up to $2,000. Thank you for believing in me and helping me through this journey.

I am traveling through an organization called CIEE. Their goal is to help high school students become independent and develop skills they can use as adults. I chose this organization because I have met with previous students who participated in their program whom have said only positive comments. They were able to be independent, immerse themselves in another culture, and learn to be open-minded.

If I do not raise the intended goal, this money will go towards my college tuition because I am graduating next year. My plan is to attend a college for chemical engineering.

Este año tengo la increíble oportunidad de asistir a un programa de verano en Corea, centrado en la profunda conexión entre el idioma y la cultura. Este programa me permitirá sumergirme en la sociedad coreana, mejorar mis habilidades lingüísticas y experimentar de primera mano las tradiciones culturales, la historia y la vida cotidiana.
