Our dear friend Gilbert suffered a severe cerebral hemorrhage and stroke earlier this year.

In August 2025, while working at Shuende, Guangzhou, China, he suddenly collapsed due to a brain hemorrhage. Fortunately, he was rushed to the hospital immediately. Although he received emergency treatment in time, the severity of the hemorrhage caused him to lose consciousness, and he has remained in this condition for over three months.

Everyone who knows Gilbert understands that he has always been a positive, optimistic, and determined person — someone full of energy, courage, and kindness. He is not only a wonderful friend and colleague, but also a loving father and devoted family member. We sincerely hope he will continue fighting and one day regain full consciousness.

Gilbert is currently receiving treatment at The University of Hong Kong–Shenzhen Hospital, where his family has been by his side 24 hours a day. The cost of long-term hospitalization, rehabilitation, medical equipment, and daily nursing care has created tremendous financial pressure on his family, and the long road of recovery ahead will require even more support.

That is why we — Carl, Paul, Florence, and I — have come together to start this GoFundMe campaign. We hope to support Gilbert’s ongoing treatment and give him the best possible chance of recovery.

We also hope this platform allows all of Gilbert’s friends, colleagues, and loved ones to send their support and encouragement during this difficult time.

All funds raised will be entrusted to Gilbert’s sister, Wendy Wong, who will serve as the designated beneficiary. Every contribution will be used solely for Gilbert’s medical treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term care needs.

As a token of appreciation, Gilbert’s family will send a small gift — the European car fragrance that Gilbert previously distributed — to friends who contribute.

我們親愛的朋友 Gilbert 在今年突發嚴重腦溢血中風。

2025 年八月，他在中國廣州順德工作時突然因腦部出血倒下。所幸當時被緊急送往醫院，並及時接受搶救，但由於出血情況嚴重，他在手術後失去意識，至今已昏迷超過三個月。

認識 Gilbert 的人都知道，他一直是一位非常正面、樂觀、勇敢且充滿熱情的人。他對生活充滿能量，對工作全力以赴，對家人更是無微不至。他是我們真誠的好友、同事，也是深愛孩子的好爸爸、好家人。我們真心期盼他能夠持續努力，終有一天能夠重新恢復意識。

目前 Gilbert 正在 港大深圳醫院 接受治療，家人也在醫院 24 小時輪流陪伴照護。長期住院、復健、醫療器材以及看護等相關費用，已對家庭造成沉重負擔，而未來漫長的治療與復健之路仍需要更多的支持。

因此，我們——Carl、Paul、Florence 和我——共同發起這個 GoFundMe 募款，希望能幫助 Gilbert 繼續接受治療，並為他爭取最大的康復機會。
