Support Gilbert's Animal Care Mission

Hello to everyone, I hope yoou are having a wonderful and blessed day. My name is Gilbert and I would like to start off introducing myself by diving straight into the point of conflict alongside my passion. My animal rescue shelter in Uganda is not only run through passion, but a necessity. Each day, I face the same emotional, gut-wrenching reality. Animals show up at my door still shaking from their previous existence, whether that be abuse, neglect, or malnourishment. Some of the littlest souls have been so traumatized that when they stare into my eyes, they project back at me the nightmarish experiences they've encountered. However, with challenging moments comes an incredible turnaround; I bring them back to health. But with so many animals and so few resources, we are always grasping at straws; if I give one animal a much-needed vaccine, that means somebody else goes without food that day. If we patch up a wall from an animal's scratching, we do not have the means to add another wall for expansion for more animals in need. Even my stellar staff does not receive everything they need from a budgetary standpoint, yet they still operate through compassion and empathy. But any additional funding would not be a bonus to a stretched budget—we would use the funding on a consistent daily basis to enhance the experiences of these animals from appropriate food, medical needs, shelter enrichment activities, and forever homes when applicable. Every cent brings life into this sanctuary as opposed to keeping it afloat. By 2027 my goal is to:

Have rescued a minimum of 350 dogs

Purchasing the land to create a safe haven for said rescues

establish a 'house of dogs' and give these lovely animals a state-of-the-art shelter for rehabilitation.
