Help Gilbert Receive a Life-Saving Kidney Transplant
Hi everyone,
As many of you know, I’ve been in the process of donating my kidney to my father, Gilbert Sanchez, for almost a year. We are incredibly thankful to share that we have officially been cleared, and the transplant surgery is scheduled for November 26, 2025—the day before Thanksgiving.
My dad is 77 years old, still works hard, and has the biggest heart. He is loved by everyone he meets. He has been battling through dialysis, and anyone who knows him knows how much he hates it. I wish I could’ve done this sooner, but I’m grateful that we’re finally here. (He’s already asking if he can stop dialysis now—not yet, Father!)
As we prepare for surgery, we are facing several financial challenges. I will need to stay in a hotel near the hospital for at least a week, and although I hope to only be in the hospital a couple of days, my dad is expected to stay for at least two weeks. I’ve also been traveling back and forth to San Antonio for appointments, and I will be out of work for about four weeks during recovery.
Because of this, we are humbly asking for help. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference and help ease the financial burden during this time. Most importantly, we ask for prayers—lots of prayers for a successful surgery and smooth recovery for both my father and me.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, support, and kindness. We are truly grateful.
