Greetings, friends!

My name is Nancy Nichols-Pethick, and I am raising funds for my dear friend Gigi Thibodeau. Gigi has an urgent need for medical treatments in her ongoing battles with Lyme disease, co-infections, and mold illness. Her health is fragile, and she is currently unable to complete even the simplest daily tasks. I know that we all have demands on our time and resources, but I’m asking you to please take a moment to read Gigi’s story and, if you’re able, contribute what you can to get her the help she needs.

Gigi is a published writer, teacher, photographer, gardener, and a deeply creative person who brings beauty and compassion to everything she does. She has always been generous with her time, talent, and support for others, offering warmth and encouragement wherever she goes. She is the kind of person who sees beauty everywhere, even in her darkest moments, and longs to share it with those around her.

Nearly nine years ago, Gigi was diagnosed with late-stage neurological Lyme disease, along with several serious co-infections. Since that time Gigi has gone from being a vibrant, active member of her community to someone who struggles with daily tasks. Her health challenges have forced her to step away from her career and from nearly all aspects of the life she once enjoyed. Her health is incredibly fragile, and she experiences debilitating neurological symptoms that affect her vision, balance, and autonomic nervous system. She endures near-constant severe fatigue and chronic pain.

Last year Gigi went through a divorce, which significantly affected her financial stability. Although she is doing everything she can to support herself, her current income (including spousal support) only covers her most basic living expenses. Unfortunately, most Lyme disease treatments are not covered by insurance, including the treatments she now urgently needs, and there is simply no way she can afford them on her own.
