Gigi is truly the most loving, selfless, and caring person I know. She has spent her entire life putting others before herself. As a single mother, she somehow always found a way to make everything happen for her kids.never missing a game, practice, or important moment. She was always on the sidelines cheering them on, even when life was hard and resources were limited.

Gigi’s care and love didn’t stop with her children.She has always been the person everyone leans on,the helper, the fixer, the one who shows up no matter what.

Now, she’s facing the hardest fight of her life.

Gigi has been diagnosed with stage 4 gallbladder cancer. The news has been devastating for our family. Surgery is not an option, and she is currently undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy to help slow the growth of the cancer and prevent further spread. While these treatments are necessary, they come with significant physical, emotional, and financial challenges.

Between medical bills, treatments, medications, travel to appointments, and daily living expenses, the costs are quickly adding up. For someone who has always taken care of everyone else, it’s incredibly hard for Gigi to accept help, but she needs it now.

We are starting this GoFundMe to support Gigi during this difficult time so she can focus on what truly matters: fighting this disease, spending time with her family, and preserving her quality of life. Any donation, no matter how small, will help ease the financial burden and allow her to continue receiving the care she needs.

It has now been nine months since our mom, Gigi, received the diagnosis that changed all of our lives.

When we first heard the words Stage 4 gallbladder cancer, we were devastated. We were given a prognosis of six months to two years—words no family is ever prepared to hear.

And yet, here we are, nine months later. ❤️

Our mom is still here. Still fighting. Still loving us, laughing with us, making memories with us, and showing us every single day just how strong she is.

We are incredibly grateful that her body has responded positively to treatment. She continues to receive care, and every bit of encouraging news gives our family more hope. We know that statistics and timelines cannot tell us exactly what her journey will look like, so we continue to hold onto our faith and pray that she will beat the odds and be with us far beyond the timeline we were originally given.

While we celebrate this milestone, the financial reality of fighting cancer has become increasingly difficult.

In California, disability benefits are only available for a limited period of time. My mom has now exhausted the assistance that was helping support her while she has been unable to work because of her illness and treatment. Unfortunately, cancer doesn’t stop when those benefits do. The everyday expenses, medical needs, appointments, transportation, bills, and cost of simply living continue.

That is why we are reaching out again.
