**Gigi’s knee surgery is scheduled for July 8th**

If you haven’t had the chance to meet Gigi live and in person, just know— she is sweeter and goofier than her pictures could ever show. She’s my best friend and my soul pup.

Unfortunately, I’m learning a lesson in “name your dog after a footballer, get footballer problems.”

Gigi was recently diagnosed with a cruciate tear in her back right leg that requires surgery. Brutal to have your dog follow in your footsteps this way! Surgery is no fun, nor is recovery; I’m prepared to get her back to fluffy frolicking with other dogs ASAP. What I wasn’t prepared for is the high cost of surgery (to be transparent, it’s more than I paid out of pocket for my own knee surgery a year and a half ago) and getting denied in surgical pre-approval by our pet insurance that I had been counting on to see us through. *sigh* Insurance, am I right??
