Support Gigi's Medical Trip To Brisbane

My name is Gigira Warus Vere. I am doing my fundraising to help me go back to Austraila to seek treatment .

I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2015, and due to no specialist in PNG and our poor health system, I had to seek help in Brisbane, Australia.

I was on anti-inflammatory drugs and a gluten-free and dairy-free diet since 2015, but due to COVID in 2020 and no way to go back to Australia for treatment, I have been without meds since then and have been trying to manage my diet, but it has been tough.

I have been trying to manage my flare-ups and relapses since then, and it has gotten worse with constant pain jn my spine and my legs.

At times, I have numbness and pain from my head to my toe, and I feel trapped in my own body. Only constant massage for an hour brings relief. There are days I can't get out off bed but I push myself to because I have too. God has been my strength and it is only by Grace that I am holding on.

I have developed gut issues and other medical issues relating to my RA since January of 2025 and been constantly seeking medical here in PNG but haven't been getting any answers.

I caught a cold in March and due to my low sensative immune system, I have been having reoccurnaces and flareup again and again which has now developed into pnemounia.

I am been on 5 different courses of antibiotics since March 2025 and am still not feeling or doing well . I feel exhausted all the time and need to lay down and I have just finished my third round of antibiotics.

I have been seeing doctors every month since 2023 and I have been told I still need to do more check ups and blood work. I am exhausted from getting the same answers from different doctors and being put on different antibiotics repeatedly. I want answers .

I am looking to raise some funds to help me go back to Brisbane for a a medical visit.

I want to be healthy again to run and play with my 2 year old baby girl to not be exhausted and tired all the time. To be able to go back to work and have a normal life. To be able to stand and support my husband do church ministry.
